Have you ever...

Have you ever read a book and then when you get finished with it wonder why you wasted your time reading it. I can't not read a book once I get started even if it takes me several days and I've already started another book :). Do you finish every book you start or if you don't like it do you put it down?

Book Store

So today I had to go to "diversity" training at work. Ok this is the same training I've had every year for over 10 years. If I'm not diversified by now when will I be ugh!!! So the class lasted, get this, 45 mins!!! I got out at 11AM and did not start my shift until 1:30pm. So what did I do?? I went to the mall and Waldenbooks!!!

Ok I tried to behave really I did but of course I came out of there with several books, and the December issue of Romantic Times.

While I was eating lunch (Steak Escape, yummy ) I glanced at my new magazine. They have several articles for readers this month everything from creating your own special reading nook, keeping a journal of books you've read, readers groups, and book signings. Of course they have more information on the RT Convention that is coming up it sounds like it is going to be so much fun! One day I will be able to attend RT, it may be a few years from now but that is ok, it's good to have a goal.

How I got started reading romance books

The summer between by 7th and 8th grade I was staying with an Aunt of mine for the day. I was bored and wanted something to do. She gave me a book she had read and said try this. It was Nora Roberts Irish Thoughabred. What can I say I was hooked.

I mainly read romance books, but I also love a great mystery, thriller, suspense, scare me book.

There is nothing like going to the store and picking a paperback (sometimes hardback) from the shelf, holding it in your hands, opening to the first chapter, maybe even reading a few pages right there in the store, yes I will admit I smell the books also and I do not turn the pages down on my books, that's what a bookmark is for LOL!

Bringing the book home adding it to your pile of books to read, or if it's one you've been waiting on curling up in your favorite chair or bed and reading it, savoring each page as you go.
